Field Manager Duties and Responsibilities



Many types of administrators monitor the day-to-day operations of internal staff, but it is up to site administrators to manage staff traveling to client sites. Also known as on-site service managers or on-site operations managers, these professionals are responsible for hiring, training and supervising on-site operations. Webmasters work for a variety of industries, especially those with external sales representatives or technicians, such as pharmaceutical companies, computer repair companies, HVAC companies and medical equipment manufacturers. These managers use powerful observation, leadership, and analytical skills. They are usually full-time and can operate after a normal 40-hour travel reservation.

Duties and responsibilities of the Field Manager 

Webmasters work in a variety of industries. Private duties and responsibilities may vary, but there are many key job-related tasks, such as:

Personal website coordination

Webmasters usually monitor the entire site and are responsible for coordinating site staff to cover all customers in a specific area. They plan routes, assign clients to specific staff and organize staff and customer meetings.

Personal employer and website training

Site managers must hire new staff and ensure that they are well trained before being allowed to work on site. Webmasters interview job applicants, arrange new rental and supplier training programs, and travel with the site's new staff to ensure they have a full understanding of their responsibilities.

Evaluate staff performance

Website administrators conduct regular performance evaluations of all site employees. They produce reports that address each issue highlighting the strengths and weaknesses of each team member. Creates plans to help the site's staff develop, track staff progress to achieve the goals of these projects and report performance to HR staff and senior executives.

Vehicle management

In most cases, the site group uses corporate vehicles when visiting client sites. It is up to the site administrators to make sure all vehicles are properly maintained. Generate vehicle maintenance and repair reports, schedule vehicle service programs, and develop vehicle maintenance budgets.
